The Challenge

scratch pad competes in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) every year and each year we get to create an advertising campaign for a a special client. In the 2022/2023 school year, our client was Indeed. Indeed presented the challenge of being the first job site that our target audience thinks of when beginning their next job search, increasing the overall unaided consideration among this group by the end of 2023.

Our Solution

This challenge calls for a seemingly simple solution – highlighting Indeed’s qualities that would capture a younger audience within the job search engine industry. Sounds easy right?

We thought so too... at first. However, we wanted to take it a step further. This campaign challenged us to not only reposition the job search, but to give Indeed a whole new perspective. While overcoming the obstacles that are tied to the job search, our campaign addresses core values that are held by both Indeed and the target audience. It turns out that these two are more compatible than you’d think.
